The Act establishes a
simple step-by-step process for making, assessing
and deciding development applications in Queensland. This process is called
the
Integrated Development Assessment System (or IDAS).
Prior to the commencement of the IPA and the introduction of IDAS there were
approximately 60 different approval systems relating to development in
Queensland. These approvals all had their own separate processes for lodgement,
assessment and decision making even where they applied to the same proposal.
The IPA has brought all these separate approval processes together into one
integrated package.

IDAS Application Forms and Information Guides
IDAS forms were first introduced in early 1998 and are periodically revised
as the State Government passes new legislation relating to building development
in Queensland.
For this reason, we recommend that you visit the
Department Of Local Government
and Planning's web site to obtain the most current IDAS forms. These
come with up to date guides about how each form should be completed.
If you'd like approval for a new development in Jondaryan Shire or would
like to change or modify an existing approval, simply print off any forms
you need, fill them in, attach any relevant fee and paperwork and post them
back to Council at PO Box 105, Oakey Qld 4401.
IDAS forms can also be lodged in person at Council's Administration Office
at 64 Campbell Street, Oakey.
